Marcel Dupré: Ballade, Op. 30 (1932)

John Quincy Bass, piano, was colleague of Wayne Fisher's in Cincinnati. By all accounts he was a truly great pianist. He devoted his life to teaching. This may be his only recording. Fortunately in Ballade the piano has the leading role.

Recorded on the Odeon organ at the College of Music, Cincinnati; recorded in 1951.
